A former TT and Manx Grand Prix rider has died aged 78 in a traffic collision.
Paul Smart, who raced on the Island in the 1970s, was killed yesterday afternoon on the A21 near Flimwell, after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle.
Police are investigating the circumstances around the accident.
In a statement from his family, they say he was a hugely popular character and was much loved by his family, friends and fans around the world.
