Four Green Flags awarded to Douglas parks

Green Flags which have been awarded to four parks in Douglas show the Island is on par with the British Isles.

The Green Flag Award Scheme is the national benchmark - it's just granted Noble's Park, Douglas Golf Course, Douglas Head and the Sunken Gardens the accolade.

Stephen Pitts is the chair of regeneration for Douglas Council - he says the investment, particularly in Noble's Park, is paying off:

The council says it recognises that well maintained parks and gardens are integral to bringing investment into the town centre.
