A further outbreak of bird flu has been confirmed on the Island.
A dead goose was found in a garden in St John’s earlier in the week, and tests confirmed it died of the same strain that killed a number of geese and chickens last month.
The government has stated that no further restrictions will be required, and an all-Island ‘Surveillance Zone’ remains in place.
People are asked not to feed wild waterfowl or chickens, especially at the nearby arboretum in St John’s, and to report any suspected cases to the Animal Health Team.
