Gas supplies fail overnight in Lonan area

Late last night mains gas supplies to the Lonan area failed due to a problem at the gas storage site.

 

Manx Gas engineers have been working through the night to rectify the situation.

 

96 customers in total have been affected, however it would appear now that supplies have been restored to the mains.

 

In order to ensure a safe restoration of supplies to all the houses affected engineers will require access to each property, the support of the customers is asked for at this time.

 

The process got underway at 6.30am; householders have been asked t provide access throughout the day in an effort to speed up the process.

 

Only customers in Lonan have been affected, Manx Gas have apologised for any inconvenience.
