That’s according to Douglas Councillor Devon Watson who says resources need to be prioritised and an improvement programme ‘needs to be sped up’.
The council has improved its policies around black mould, meaning anyone who reports is added to a list and will get a ‘personal visit’ from a housing officer.
Mr Watson says newer council housing has improved ventilation systems, and insulation, to help prevent black mould occurring.
