Gillings is third at World Snowboard Cross Finals

Island snowboarder Zoe Gillings is on course for Olympic Gold after finishing the most successful season of her career last week.

The 26 year old snowboard crosser from the Isle of Man finished in third place at the World Snowboard Cross Finals in Italy on Friday.

The podium finish means Zoe is now ranked as sixth in the world and as Britain’s number one Olympic snow sports athlete.

In the last six months Zoe has competed in all seven World Cup competitions and the prestigious X Games in Colorado, reaching the final in five of them.
