The government says it's overpaid more than £190,000 in public sector pensions in the past five years.
A Freedom of Information request asked how much money had been wrongly paid in civil service pensions since August 2019.
In its response, the Cabinet Office said it had overpaid £190,765 but had recovered £118,568.
It added the vast majority of the money had been paid out before it had been told of someone's death.
