Government wants to know what you think of new NHS surcharge

There's a chance to have your say on a new healthcare tax to pay for the Island's healthcare system.

The NHS Levy would be separate to income tax and be capped at £5,000 for individuals and £10,000 for couples.

Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says the government wants to listen to all views and introduce what he calls a proportionate and progressive surcharge.

You have until Wednesday, June 18 to have your say - you can take part in the consultation here.
