Cutting over 150 government jobs will help to protect frontline services.
That’s the message from the Treasury Minister, who unveiled this year’s Budget yesterday.
Eddie Teare says it is time to remove unnecessary expenditure and concentrate on areas that genuinely need the money.
The government wage bill will come in at £312 million for the year. Staff costs are said to be £3.6 million lower.
