Gritters out as yellow snow warning issued

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning about freezing and snowy conditions over the next two days.

The yellow warning runs until midday on Sunday, saying clear skies and light winds will bring sub-zero temperatures and widespread frost.

Rain and sleet at lower levels could mean icy patches on roads, while areas over 700 feet will see sleet and snow.

The Department of Infrastructure says its gritters will be out this evening treating road surfaces.
