Group calls for 'urgent COVID roadmap'

The Emergency Advisory Group (EAG) says government advice is "urgently required" to control the spread of COVID-19.

In a report published at the end of July, the group urged the Council of Ministers (CoMin) to publish a roadmap outlining current policies and thresholds for how and when further restrictions would be put in place.

It wants clear benchmarks on when peak capacity has been reached at Noble's hospital and "when infection/death rates would be considered unacceptable".

It also wants to see government policy on dealing with the impact of long COVID.

The Emergency Advisory Group is a committee, appointed by the Council of Ministers, consisting of a range of people from across the community with a broad range of skills and expertise.
