Guilty pleas after police raid turns up cannabis and cash

A fisherman from Andreas has appeared in court after a police raid uncovered cannabis with a street value of just over £600.

Police searched 22-year-old Daniel Woodbridge's flat, at his former address in Douglas, on the evening of June 10th - they found 32 grams of cannabis bush, weighing scales and snap bags.

Officers also found three bundles of cash, as well as money in a vehicle linked to him, which totalled £3,685.

At Douglas Courthouse yesterday he pleaded guilty to possession of the Class B substance and possession of criminal property.

He told police he had a drug habit and the illegal substance was for his own personal use.

Woodbridge was committed for sentence to the Court of General Gaol Delivery - he's been bailed until his next appearance there on October 10th.
