Martin Branches Out Into Television
Guy Martin is to branch out away from bikes and make the transition into television, presenting a show about his other passion - engines.
In the show for BBC Guy will be faced with the task of converting a 60ft canal barge.
BBC management are touting Guy as a cross between Engineering legend Fred Dibnah, and Hollywood icon Steve McQueen.
In early press for the show Guy has been keen to get across that the style will be very natural with no set ups and no script.
Filming will begin in September and it’s due to be screened in January 2011.
