Over twenty Manx words have been added in the Oxford English Dictionary.
OED have announced 22 new Manx words, including 'hop tu naa', 'traa dy liooar' and 'skeet' which will now be recognised in the dictionary.
Kelvin Corlett, Senior Assistant Editor at the OED - who is also a Manx native - says it represents the Island's "diverse linguistic heritage".
Meanwhile, Culture Vannin's chair MHK Chris Thomas, says it is part of a celebration of Manx culture.
