High winds force sailing cancellations

The early morning 2:15 crossing from Heysham had to be cancelled and this morning and afternoons crossings too and from Heysham have have also been called off.

Winds peaked at gale force 9 overnight, with winds expected to reach 70mph throughout the day.

Current forecasts indicate that the wind should die down as the day progresses.
