Island residents are being encouraged to light a candle on Thursday to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

This year's theme is 'One Day,' which involves learning from the past, celebrating the present, and taking action for a better future.
To mark the day, people are encouraged to light a candle and put it in their front window at 8pm on Thursday night.
