Passengers who pay by cash to travel to the Island aren't being investigated, according to Justice and Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson.
In the House of Keys this week, Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asked how many people who'd paid for tickets in cash were investigated for criminal activity.
Mrs Poole-Wilson said visitors identities aren't checked at present.
She added cash purchases are often linked to criminality and that criminals could take advantage of the system:
