Three adventurers from the Isle of Man are safely back on dry land after being taken hostage by knife wielding fishermen.
Chris Shimmin, Taz Ibrahim and Anthony Gullan were taking part in the Ngalawa Cup - a 500km sailing race along the coast of Tanzania; an event described as 'merciless' by organisers.
The team was in second place and had set up camp on a remote Island and were repairing a broken rudder when disaster struck:
The gang stole all their money, electronics and even their clothes before being spooked by a tourist boat arriving - the trio were then able to raise the alarm and get help.
Chris says it meant the team - who were raising money for Wish Upon A Dream - had to make the tough decision to pull out of the race:
