Bride residents looking for somewhere to get rid of rubbish could mean an ID system being introduced at the Eastern civic amenity site.
Douglas Council discussed Bride's withdrawal from the Northern Civic Amenity site.
A meeting of the Eastern site's joint committee heard it was unlikely people from Bride would travel so far, and asking for ID would slow down traffic.
But the meeting said it places an unfair burden on other ratepayers if Bride residents use a site they didn't pay for.
The meeting decided not to introduce measures yet but to monitor the situation and respond if necessary.
