The Council of Ministers has revoked the Statement of Changes in Immigration Rules presented in Tynwald on Tuesday.
Tynwald members highlighted the statement contained errors.
Chief Minister, Howard Quayle, says whilst the errors were mainly administrative it meant the law was not correct and has apologised for the situation - corrections to it are now being progressed.
It was passed in November last year for immigration applications - Mr Quayle added any applications made under it on January 31 and this week will not be affected.
