Incentives to attract teachers to Island

The government's offering more incentives - worth around £4,000 a year - to attract teachers to the Isle of Man

The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says relocating teachers will get a national insurance holiday on top of other rewards.

Staff who move to the Island already get two £2,000 lump sums as well as housing assistance for up to two years.

The government says it needs a large number of secondary school staff to teach science, maths, English, IT and computer science in the next few months.
