Income limits increased for public sector housing

Income thresholds for access to public sector housing have been increased in response to the cost of living crisis.

It's after Tynwald Members approved proposals brought forward by the Department of Infrastructure last month.

It means a single applicant without children can earn up to £34,500 and be eligible for the scheme.

Further, someone with one child can earn up to £40,000 and someone with two children can earn just under £44,000.

The change will affect those on public sector waiting lists and will result in changes to the Fixed Term Tenancy Policy.
