Inflation rate drops again

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare has welcomed a further fall in the Island\'s RPI annual inflation rate.

There was a fall from 5.9 per cent in September to 5.2 per cent in October, it marked a second monthly decrease from its peak of 6.8 per cent in August.

Minister Teare said many households, particularly those on low and fixed incomes have been feeling the pressure of high inflation, so it is encouraging to see the RPI rate come back down to it's lowest level since September 2010.
