Initiative allows hundreds of families to enjoy live performances

Hundreds of families have been able to enjoy live performances at the Gaiety Theatre this year thanks to a government initiative.

Over 1,000 tickets were made available, funded by the Isle of Man Arts Council and delivered by the VillaGaiety and local charities.

Claire Christian MHK, who chairs the Arts Council, says they strongly believe the power of experiencing the arts can enhance mental health and wellbeing, and even have transformative effects on people's lives.

Charities such as The Children's Centre, Rebecca House and Crossroads have all shared tickets to shows so everyone can enjoy the theatre.
