A book about the Island's internment camp during World War II is now available.
British author and investigative journalist, Simon Parkin, has released 'The Island of Extraordinary Captives - True Story of an Artist, a Spy and a Wartime Scandal.'
The book uses archive material, letters and diaries related to Hutchinson Camp in Douglas, which opened in 1940, and housed a number of artists, musicians and academics.
During the war, thousands of people were held in internment camps on the Isle of Man.
Some were political detainees or suspected spies, but many were innocent refugees who had nowhere else to go.
The book is available from the Bridge Bookshop in Ramsey and Port Erin for £20.
