The all-Island bird flu 'Surveillance Zone' has officially been lifted.

Chief Veterinary Officer, Amy Beckett, has confirmed the Island is no longer an infected area after three cases of avian influenza.

The government is still urging bird keepers to keep poultry housed where possible.

Anyone who suspects a case, or has a bird they think has the disease, is asked to contact the Animal Health Team on 685844.
