IOM surpasses 23,000 second doses of Covid-19 vaccine

Over 23,000 second doses of a Covid-19 vaccine have now been administered on Island.

Government confirmed the milestone was reached yesterday, and is thanking vaccine teams for their continued work.

Meanwhile, officials are advising there will be a gap of two weeks from next Monday (May 31) with mainly second doses and some first resuming after that.

It comes a few days after government issued a reminder to people to make sure they get their second jab and not attempt to change their appointments to fit in with travel plans.
