The Chair of IOM Post Office, Julie Edge MHK, believes a new approach to postal services in Ballasalla would continue to offer 'quality access' for residents.
The organisation announced this week its proposing to ask a 'service partner' to assist with facilities there after the board recognised there needs to be a face-to-face service in the town.
If a suitable partner is found, it would involve personnel being on hand to help locals with touch screen services at the branch to sort bill and rent payments - stamp purchases and parcel postage will also be available.
Ms Edge adds the concerns of all those who attended public meetings and responded to the public consultation on the matter have been 'meaningfully considered'.
