Island is an attractive target for criminals

    Chief Constable Gary Roberts

The chief constable says police are changing their tactics in order to deal with the threat from organised criminals.

On Friday it was revealed that more than half a million pounds worth of drugs have been seized by officers in the last year.

Among the haul was £15,000 of heroin, £2,000 of cocaine and cannabis with a street value of £407,000.

Police say the safety of our community and quality way of life makes the Island an attractive target for criminals.

Gary Roberts explains how police plan to tackle the problem:
