128 Less People Out of Work Compared to June 2009
Unemployment figures have risen slightly over the last month, but all signs would indicate that the Island is returning to normality after two years of Global recession.
With 1.9% of the active population unemployed this represents the biggest fall in unemployment over the past decade.
Compared to June of last year there are 128 less people out of work.
Traditionally unemployment levels see a sharp increase in June with returning Students, this seemingly has not been the case this time round.
Treasury Minister Anne Craine has said the positive job figures reflect the continuing performance of the Manx economy in the face of what are still difficult market conditions.
