    Island to adopt new bathing water standards

    The Isle of Man is moving towards new bathing water standards - but they're more than a decade old.

    In Tynwald yesterday Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot was quizzed on the standard of water on the Island's beaches.

    Mr Boot said the aim was to introduce European regulations dating back to 2006, replacing rules dating back to 1976.

    But he admitted he couldn't make any promises:
