The Island's Post Office has confirmed a strike by members of the Communications Workers' Union will go ahead.
It comes following crucial talks between the union and the Post Office concerning planned changes to pay and pension, which failed to reach a solution.
Chief Executive of the board Simon Kneen says 'the talks were unable to find a solution acceptable to either party.'
He added there is a contingency plan in place, and apologised for any disruption the strike causes over the next two days.
