The Treasury’s annual Earnings Survey has revealed a significant increase to the average weekly earnings on the Island.
The average weekly earning on the Island now stands at £590.75, that’s an increase of 3.4%
The diverse economy and number of emerging niche markets like e gaming and aerospace engineering has been attributed to the positive increase.
It now puts the Island just 1.3% below the UK, compared with 2.7% on the previous year.
Treasury Minister Anne Craine has said it’s a real indicator that the Island is weather the economic storm well.
