Isle of Man resident makes impessive start to his MotoGP career

An Isle of Man resident has made an impessive start to his MotoGP career.

Cal crutchlow, who lives in Ramsey, has finnished 11th in his debut race.

The 25 year old beat Valentino Rossi in qualifying for the opening race of the MotoGP season - the Qatar Grand Prix.

His MotoGP debut was made even more difficult after the rider lost the tip of his left little finger during an accident in the final night of pre-season testing just days ago.

It was his first race since moving up from the World Superbike Championship.
