Jet ski riders are being warned to keep their distance from marine wildlife.

Jet ski riders are being told to keep their distance from marine wildlife around the Isle of Man's coastline.

The Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch (MWDW) has published a Code of Conduct recommending distance limits of around 100 metres.

The guide is recommended for whales, dolphins, porpoises or basking sharks.

A MWDW spokesman said: " If you operate a jet ski within Peel please be aware of our resident dolphins Moonlight and Starlight.

"They come close into the bay on an almost daily basis at any tidal state or time of day.

"We ask that you operate your jet ski respectfully within the bay remaining vigilant for dolphins at all times".
