Job losses at Barclays Wealth

It’s been confirmed that Barclays Wealth are moving a number of its on Island operations to international locations, resulting in dozens of job losses.

In a statement from their UK press office they said the plans are part of their One Barclays strategy, which whilst benefiting customers greatly it will have an impact on employees.

Head offices have said at least 50 jobs will be affected.

They’re currently looking at redeployment options in order to minimise the number affected.

Despite this news the statement concludes by saying that Barclays are still very much committed to the Isle of Man.
