John Shimmin appointed Policy and Reform Minister

It follows the resignation of Douglas East MHK Chris Robertshaw from the role - he cited a lack of confidence in government for his decision.

 

Mr Shimmin has a long ministerial history- however he resigned from his previous post after findings of an inquiry into government loans to the Sefton Group were deemed to be unlawful in places. 

 

He says he's shocked by today's developments and will work hard to regain the trust and support of the Manx people and his colleagues within government:
