Joined-up approach needed to tackle domestic violence

Domestic violence needs to be tackled through a more joined-up approach.

Government, agencies and the third sector are being asked to unite and embark on a safeguarding initiative to seize opportunities for early intervention.

That includes people like police, doctors, A&E staff and people that deal with housing.

Home Affairs chief executive Mark Kelly says more needs to be done to tackle the 'social problem':
