The Isle of Man Prison says it has installed 24 new temporary cells to ease pressure on numbers there.
The Jurby jail has 141 single cells, and usually has around 70 to 90 prisoners - but that's risen by two-thirds recently.
As a result new cabins have been installed at the prison to make sure it can accommodate the higher numbers.
In a video on social media, deputy prison governor Martin Phillips says the new cells will be used for those approaching the end of the sentences.
