King's cypher unveiled on post box

The first Island post box to feature King Charles III's cypher has been unveiled.

Located at Postal Headquarters in Douglas, the cypher has been used on a post box suitable to drop off parcels, and 'marks a new era in postal history.'

The Isle of Man Post Office's current post boxes currently display a range of royal cyphers, dating back to Queen Victoria in 1840.

This year is 50 years since the Island's postal service's inauguration and a range of activities with staff and customers will be held in celebration.
