The Manx Labour Party is calling for government to appoint an old person's champion after the closure of a Meals on Wheels supplier.
Last week, Jack Frost said it will shut in the next fortnight unless trading conditions improve - it's one company that stepped in after the Department of Health and Social Care slashed £150,000 a year in funding for the Meals on Wheels service.
Party chairman David Cretney MLC has a Tynwald resolution during this month's sitting asking for a representative for old people.
He says the issue will also be discussed at the next in a series of anti-austerity meetings being held in Peel's Centenary Centre at 7.30pm on Thursday, February 22.
