Landline issues caused by 'routine maintenance'

The phone lines went down in the afternoon - it left people unable to make routine or 999 calls. 

 

MT has blamed the problem on an 'unexpected issue' saying immediate action was taken to resolve the problem with the emergency line being the 'top priority'. 

 

All services are now back to normal - the company has apologised to everyone affected.
