Firefighters say it was lucky that no-one was injured when a large goods vehicle burst into flames today.
Three pumps were called to Lower Foxdale this afternoon to reports of the vehicle on fire.
Four firefighters tackled the blaze for around 15 minutes before it was brought under control – the contents of the vehicle were destroyed.
The driver, and his companion, have been praised for their “speedy actions” which resulted in a serious incident being averted.
