Last chance to have a say on smoking rules

New regulations which will ban people from smoking in cars carrying children could be strengthened by other new proposals.

Today marks the last day to comment on a draft Bill to amend the Island's Public Health Tobacco Act.

Tobacco lead Anita Imberger says there isn't just one quick fix:

Among the ideas being considered are a ban on tobacco displays, controls on advertising and getting rid of tobacco vending machines.

Anita says in the long-term it should help raise awareness of the dangers of taking up the habit:
