The governments five-year capital investment programme demonstrates commitment to modernising Island infrastructure.
That's according to MHK and Treasury Member, Bill Shimmins, after Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, announced in the 2019 budget yesterday that £479million will be introduced over the next five years for a number of projects.
Mr Shimmins adds it displays confidence in the economy, raising standards for residents and businesses and leaving a 'robust and lasting legacy for generations to come'.
The funds will be put towards key initiatives such as Douglas Promenade Walkway, the Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool and supporting the development of Jurby.
