Leader ousted but 'business as usual' in Port St Mary

A local authority in the south of the Island says it's "business as usual" after its leader was ousted by members this week.

Port St Mary Commissioners now have a new chairman after members voted out the old one on Wednesday.

The authority made the announcement yesterday, with Laurence Vaughan Williams taking over the top job following the vote of no confidence in Alan Grace.

It's the latest twist at the board - earlier this year, police were called to investigate how information about its clerk, who's been off work since January, was leaked to the media.
