Workers at the body that maintains the Island's lighthouses are taking strike action today over pay.
At midday, Unite members at the Northern Lighthouse Board will walk out for 24 hours after rejecting a 2 per cent pay rise offer from management.
The board looks after six automated lighthouses on the Isle of Man including at the Point of Ayre, Langness and Chicken Rock.
The NLB says it's put contingency measures in place to ensure the safety of seafarers during the industrial action.
