A local resident is set to undertake the Parish Walk on crutches to raise money for charity.
Adam Knight had his left leg amputated last year, after suffering from spindle cell sarcoma and an infection resulting in sepsis.
Free from pain and at the beginning of his rehabilitation, Adam joined the Wooden Spoon Wheelchair Sports Club, with the members helping him to build his 'confidence and wellbeing.'
He now wants to raise money for the local charity, 'so everyone can continue to enjoy the facility.'
Adam will take on the 85 mile course this weekend, and has so far raised over £2,500 - you can find more information or donate here.
