A local man is riding high this week after a short film he worked on in London won an Oscar.
'The Phone Call' starring Sally Phillips and Jim Broadbent was awarded the 'Best Short Film' - also scooping the top prize at the Tribeca (TRI-BEAKER) Awards in New York.
Former Island resident Chris Chambers worked as the third assistant director on the short feature.
Since leaving the Island a few years back, he's worked on a number of projects, more recently as a location scout for a number of high-profile TV dramas.
