The Isle of Man Post Office chairman says he can't guarantee mail prices will come down if restrictions on what can be posted are eased.
In the House of Keys this week, Stuart Peters MHK faced questions on the ending of the Island's mail planes from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
He wanted to know if goods banned from mail flights could now be sent via the ferry, and if that would mean lower costs to send parcels to and from the Island.
Mr Peters said easing restrictions wouldn't necessarily mean price cuts:
